Bio

Gisela Pulido Borrell is a professional kitesurfer based in Tarifa. She started kiteboarding at age eight and began competing at ten, becoming the sport’s youngest world champion that same year. Over her career she has won ten world titles in freestyle kitesurfing.
In 2024 she represented Spain in Formula Kite at the Paris Olympics, and she is currently training for Los Angeles 2028 while also competing in big air events. She has lived and trained in Tarifa for most of her career and continues to compete at the highest level of the sport.

In an interview format, Gisela talks about what it has taken to compete at the top of her sport since childhood: the choices, the setbacks and the adjustments along the way, including her recent shift from freestyle to Formula Kite racing ahead of the Olympics.
